During the design stages of a vacuum system, one of the most complex issues faced is how to reduce noise levels.
With this in mind, AZMEC has established a close collaboration with an external company specialising in this sector and therefore, able to provide, on request, a range of silencers and soundproof booths to accompany its vacuum systems. The first and decisive stage in the design process consists of identifying an optimum configuration to guarantee flexibility and cost effectiveness.
NOISE PROJECT
The first and decisive stage in the design process consists of identifying an optimum configuration to guarantee flexibility and cost effectiveness.
MECHANICAL DESIGN
The second stage in the design process is based on structural analysis, taking into account the properties of the construction materials, the sizing of the silencer, the position inside the system and the fluid dynamics. The metal parts (such as diffusers, perforated sheet, body, supports, vanes, flanges, and discharges) can be made in stainless or carbon steel, with suitable resistance to corrosion. On request, there are also special materials with high nickel content available. Soundproof materials using glass wool or non-putrescible, fireproof minerals are a standard solution and allow several years of maintenance-free operation.
PSP VENT SILENCERS
Absorption
High performance with damping up to 75 dB (A)
Customisable based on conditions of use
Lasting, maintenance-free use
PSP absorption vent silencers have a single expansion chamber. The fluid expands through one or more concentric, bored cylinders and then enters a section in soundproof material, protected by perforated sheet metal.
SOUNDPROOF BOOTHS
Improved modularity and expandibility
Damping up to more than 50 Dba
Easy maintenance
Durable
Soundproof booths are designed to insulate noisy equipment of all shapes and sizes, ensuring sound damping in compliance with the most stringent environmental standards, for both internal and external applications.
SVR SEPTUM SILENCERS
Absorption or direct flow
Cylindrical or rectangular
Completely customisable
High efficiency
Low load loss
SVR septum silencers can be used both in the extraction pipe or in the discharge pipe. The standard configuration is suitable for a pressure of 100 mm H2O and a temperature of 130°C. The size of the silencer depends on the pipe section and on performance requirements. Combining the size constraints with the required performance provides different size parameters in terms of sections, length and load loss.
