The metal parts (such as diffusers, perforated sheet, body, supports, vanes, flanges, and discharges) can be made in stainless or carbon steel, with suitable resistance to corrosion. On request, there are also special materials with high nickel content available.  Soundproof materials using glass wool or non-putrescible, fireproof minerals are a standard solution and allow several years of maintenance-free
